Snowy Road

Yes, it's a dumb title.

Good composition. I like the diagonals created by the tree line and the leading lines of the road and tire tracks that brings the viewer into the picture.

A lot of cameras can get confused by the amount of light reflected from the snow, which causes the camera to erroneously decrease the amount of light that is captured. This is probably what happened on this shot as the snow is a little under-exposed. Next time you shoot a snow scene, try bracketing (taking multiple shots under different exposures.) I think this shot can be improved by either using a Neutral Density Filter on the camera or simulating one in image manipulation software. I just did a quick Google search on Neutral Density filters and came up with this link that looks to be really helpful: http://www.gimpguru.org/Tutorials/NDFilter/
